ENGLISH HOUSE OF STUART. CHARLES I   [1625 - 1649].   Gold  Double-crown. S2700A

£ 2500
TOWER MINT under THE KING (1625-42). Group B/C mule (group B obverse / group C reverse). Not an error - this mule exists on all three denominations of gold - so a deliberate striking and the ten shilling piece is as rare as a 1933 penny.
Minor surface marks and a weak spot on the reverse otherwise
About VERY FINE.
