THREE COINS DATED 1633. Ex:- Middleham hoard, Spink auc.7/95, lot 772; Alan Morris. From the largest known Civil War hoard - over 5000 coins including over 200 ducatons and half ducatons. These coins are known to have circulated widely in Royalist areas.
It is thought that they may represent payments sent from the Low Countries by Charles I's wife Henrietta Maria to help finance the Royalist cause. THE THREE PIECES PLUS A CATALOGUE OF THE SALE
