EXETER MINT (1643-46). Briot horseman, ground below / Oval shield with angular garnishing of triple lines, mm.rose. Besly K17, JGB 1031 (same dies). Ex:- Colin Adams (bgt.P.Hunt); Alan Morris (bgt.L.B.-[SNC 8/06]).
Besly only records two examples of this die combination - the BM specimum and JGB 1031, making this a third. Some double striking.
