CHESTER MINT (1644). Crowned square-topped shield with crowned C and R at sides. mm.cinquefoil. Ex:- Alan Morris (bgt.R.Richardson [DNW auc.Oct 1999, lot 837]). PLUS - ANOTHER WITH RE-CUT DIES (previously thought to be a forgery).
Also ex. Alan Morris - see his article in SNC August 2002. Only two others known. An interesting and exciting pair of rarities.
